Co-creating country pathways for climate-resilient social protection
2

QUANTIFY

OBJECTIVE

Quantify selected impacts of climate change on people and livelihoods of at-risk populations to support evidence-based policymaking.

KEY ACTIONS

Applying ESCAP’s LNOB tools and macroeconomic modelling to estimate climate impacts on people and livelihoods
Simulating how social protection can mitigate poverty and inequality under climate stress
3

Strengthen Cooperation

OBJECTIVE

Strengthen cooperation across the region to share good practices and build capacity in harnessing social protection for building resilience to climate-related events and policy impacts.

KEY ACTIONS

Regional workshops and the development of an Asian and Pacific roadmap to foster more climate resilient and inclusive social protection systems
A digital platform for sharing tools, training, and best practices across the region
